Taping of Meetings· In the continuing effort by the Board to improve Association processes our legal council has recommended the discontinuing of taping of Board and homeowner meetings. Due to the chilling effect that the taping of meetings has upon the open statement of ideas, concerns, and differences of opinion by Board members and owners in attendance at Board Meetings, and the need and desirability of making sure that everyone feels as comfortable as possible in participating in open dialogue about Association issues so hopefully the best possible decisions can be made on those issues, a motion was made that effective immediately, no one be permitted to tape, visually or audio, Board and homeowners meetings. · >MOTION: Upon motion duly made, seconded, and passed [unanimously] [by a majority vote of _8_ to _0_], it was: RESOLVED, that the audio or visual taping of Board and homeowner meetings shall not be allowed, and an announcement at the beginning of all such meetings shall be made reminding and warning all attendees of this prohibition. CARRIED. The Motion was passed at the HOA Board Meeting on February 26, 2002 and included in the minutes published in the March 2002 Fairwood Flyer
